The Position Queensland Health are seeking a dynamic and experienced psychiatrist to join their team as the Clinical Director Adult Services (Psychiatry). This role involves leading a sophisticated psychiatric adult service, overseeing the Acute Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) and three Community Outpatient Teams. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality clinical care and non-clinical services to benefit consumers of the service. This role is eligible for up to $20,000 (pro rata) incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme for eligible medical practitioners relocating to Queensland. Key Responsibilities The Clinical Director Adult Services (Psychiatry) will: Lead a sophisticated psychiatric adult service, including AAMHIU and Community Outpatient Teams. Provide professional leadership in the Adult Program Area activities. Work in a collegial, multi-disciplinary team setting, delivering general hospital psychiatry consults and advice. Essential Requirements Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria: Proof of qualification in Psychiatry recognized by RANZCP. Current registration with/eligibility for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. Possession of a class C driver's license. Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role; pre-employment checks will be conducted. The Location Queensland is known for its excellent quality of life.
