Workforce Technical Training Advisor (Workforce)

The Technical Training Advisor plays a pivotal role in coordinating and delivering comprehensive training, learning, and development activities for our registered civil construction apprentices, trainees, and blue-collar workforce. As part of the Training Team the Training Advisor will work closely with our Training Manager, Training Advisor and our New Entrant Mentor to deliver exceptional civil construction training outcomes on this iconic project. This role is crucial in minimising operational interruptions while maximising attendance and delivering quality civil construction training. Your ability to be agile and responsive to project requirements is critical in being successful in this role. The Training Advisor (Technical) will collaborate closely with the Safety team and the Project's Superintendents/Supervisors to provide technical accredited and non-accredited training across the project. This involves engaging and managing reputable Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and training providers to meet the project's educational objectives as well as developing and delivering standardized civil construction training. The Project AMA (Acciona, MACA, AECOM) has been selected as the preferred bidder for the Ring Road Completion, part of the North East Link Project. This covers design and construction between the M80-Plenty Road interchange and the northern tunnel entrance at Watsonia. Works include three kilometres of new freeway, two kilometres of new freeway upgrades, construction of retaining walls and bridge structures, rail interface works, intelligent transport systems, and urban design and landscaping. This diverse and challenging project will be complete in 2028. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive training plan for registered apprentices, trainees, and the blue-collar workforce aligned to the projects training matrix and learner needs. Conduct technical training sessions for apprentices, trainees and workforce. Work closely with the Safety team to integrate safety training into technical training programs. Ensure that technical training aligns with safety protocols, regulations and corporate policies. Align training programs with the project's educational goals and strategic objective Stay current with industry trends and best practices in technical training and development Communicate effectively with apprentices, trainees, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity on training expectations and requirements.
